Record label: Maximum Rock’n’Roll

This is the compilation that Maximum Rock’n’Roll put out in 2006, 22 years after the previous one. Not surprisingly, its kinda like a role call of the bands that MRR was digging back then.

I have this weird relationship with MRR, where I love reading it but really don’t get about half of the bands it covers because my tastes aren’t abrasive enough, so I expected that there would be at least as many songs that I didn’t like on this record as I did. Which is the case, although there’s very few tracks I dislike enough that I’d skip ‘em. Anyhow bands I totally dig on this comp: No Hope For The Kids, Regulations, Limp Wrist, Direct Control, The First Step, Career Suicide, Smalltown, The Observers, Sunday Morning Einstein’s, Holy Shit! That’s not a bad roll call is it? No.
