Record label: Do The Dog

Something about this CD reminds me of the music that I was listening to loads around 5 years ago. As soon as the first track kicks in, I’m transported back to the Underworld watching Rebelation, Splitters, The Scrub, Duff Muffin and other bands of that ilk. And I guess that’s what this band kind of mostly sounds like.

They are a bit more chilled out ska than the latter bands mentioned, but nevertheless there are parallels, probably just because of the way the singer sounds. Unfortunately for some reason the production on this CD sounds a bit unfinished, it doesn’t quite sound like a complete sound. Which is a shame.

But this band is young and this is their first CD on Do The Dog. Already they are tight as you like, and have some real tunes (‘Written In Stone’ is a blinder). A pretty good start!
