Catnap zine

A5/ black and white/ photocopied
Price: $2 (free in the US and Canada)

This is quite sweet. It’s only issue two and the author sent a letter saying “we are new to the zine world, so please be gentle with us.” So I will.

It’s not much, just three folded A4 pages long. The front cover promises ‘boobs’, and I was bitterly disappointed with the lack of these. It’s a nice enough offering for a free zine though, but maybe not worth the $2 it’ll unfortunately cost to get a copy over here.

There’s only so much you can fit into a six-page zine, fortunately they’ve used page one wisely to share the recipe for ‘Nan Francisco’s Good Karma Vegan Pizza’ which involves those little pieces of heaven called Baco’s (I’m somewhat obsessed with them at the moment). That’s definitely getting an airing in my house soon.

Then there’s a story. I don’t know if it’s a stand alone thing or if it’s a serial. It feels a little unfinished, but I think that’s how it’s supposed to feel. Then there’s a poem that wasn’t really my jar. And there you have it. Short and sweet.
