Brits Abroad

Simple concept. Four UK bands all playing the Fest in Floridia this Autumn, four tracks all on one split 7″ to sell whilst they’re there.

OK so what this fails to mention is the four tracks are by four of the UK’s best punk rock bands currently kicking it.

The fruity mixer of a personal favorite ‘Bangers’, a shot of something strong from NOFX-esque ‘The Arteries’, a twist of Exeter’s ‘Brothers’ and a garish with something to offer from ‘OK Pilot’. It’s short and it’s sweet but with a real kick. And in the morning you will probably wake up with one hell of a hangover.

For me this split is a good indicator of where UK punk rock is right now. After a short lull we now have something to be excited about again. I may be that little bit older than when I used to be down at the front rocking out to some of the late greats but when you have bands like these around the past maters less. Viva punk rock and all that.

If you haven’t already checked these bands out this is a perfect opportunity! And if your like me and to poor to get to the Fest then all four bands are regularly gigging in venues around the UK.
