Apologies, i have none

Two Sticks and Six Strings

Fans of UK punk rock, even those residing beneath rocks, will have undoubtedly heard the name ‘Apologies, i have none’ by now, known for their relentless touring schedule, epic singalongs and and catchy songs you just can’t help but tap your feet to, this band are deservedly making waves at the moment.

This EP, follow up to 2007’s ‘Done’, retains much of the their established sound, which, for those who are unaware is reminiscent of a combination of the very best elements of early against me. The ‘woah-ohs’ are still there, the top-of-your lungs harmonies are ever present and they are still writing songs that you cant help but to smile to, however, that’s not to say that their sound has not progressed. The acoustic guitars are more or less gone, the chorus’ are bigger and the lyrics are markedly better.

Its almost impossible to choose a stand out track, all five are equally as impressive as one another, but ‘Rearranging the dust’, featuring one of the best chorus’ I’ve heard in a long time, is definitely a contender.

I’ve you’ve picked up a copy of their first EP or seen them live then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when i call this band one of the very best in the country, and this EP further builds on that reputation they are amassing. They have grown as songwriters and the production is slicker than before, which is really impressive as its entirely self-produced. This is highly recommended.
