New York’s finest Vic Ruggiero is playing a short UK tour at the end of October as part of his European tour. Ruggiero is best known for the work he’s done with The Slackers, but is also a phenomenal solo artist. He has recently released ‘Something in my Blindspot’ on Household Name Records

See the Last Hours review of  ‘Something in my Blindspot’

“Vic Ruggiero’s solo albums show a different side to this gifted songwriter and showcases his distinct Bronx accent and a catalogue of songs inspired by Beat generation poets. Dark humour sits alongside political distrust, paranoia, murder, love and loss and the songs are rounded out by gentle rockabilly, country and jazzy rhythms and melodies.” – Household Name Records

The record is certainly beautifully crafted and if you have the chance I’d suggest you go and see him this autumn if you can.

The dates are:

  • Friday 31st October – Manchester Retro Bar
  • Saturday 01st November – Brighton Hobgoblin
  • Sunday 02nd November – Bristol Croft
  • Monday 03rd November – London Windmill plus Mike Scott

Household Name seem to be selling the new album ‘Something in my Blindspot’ at a very reasonable price, for a limited time only I suspect, along with a number of their other new releases from Milloy and Two Cow Garage.
