London Zine Symposium 2007
Details of this years London Zine Symposium have recently been announced. It will be happening on Sunday April 27th at the Rag Factory in East London.

The London Zine Symposium is a day celebrating zines in all their forms, DIY, and radical culture. It hosts a series of workshops, talks and film showings as well as stalls filled by distros and zines promoting and selling their latest wares. Its a way to promote independent publishing and for zinesters to meet up, exchange ideas and maybe even start new projects.

Zines and distros who are interested in having a stall at this year’s Symposium should take a look at for details and an application form. The deadline for applications is March 18th.

There will also be an exhibition at Pogo Cafe throughout the whole of April, with the private view on April 1st also doubling up as a ‘zine feast’ event to raise money for the Symposium. More details of the exhibition can be found here. It will feature Laura Oldfield-Ford (Savage Messiah zine), Steve Larder (Rum Lad zine), Isy (Morgenmuffel), Anna-Kaisa Laine (The Garden sketchbook) and Edd (Hey Monkey Riot zine/Last Hours).

More general details on the Symposium, including photos and details of previous years’ events are on the Symposium site, which can be found here.
