Brighton Zine Fest

brighton-zine-fest-225pxAnother zine event has been added to this year’s already hectic calendar of small press festivals. Brighton has joined in with what looks like is going to be an amazing weekend of workshops, zines, music and fun!

Happening on the weekend of the 21st-22nd of February the Saturday is dedicated to workshops and gig-going at the Cowley Club, whilst Sunday is a chance to pick up rare, cool, or just interesting zines, comix, radical pamphlets and books.

Saturday

at the Cowley Club, 12 London Road, Brighton, BN1 4JA
The workshops on offer give a good mix of introductory and advanced workshops including:

In the evening there’s also a punk gig featuring:
The Cutups, The Sceptres, Screwed Up, The North Pole, Serf Combat

The entry fee is a £5 donation.

Sunday

at West Hill Hall, Compton Avenue, Brighton, BN1 3PS

Zine fair with music (PJ & Gaby, Apologies I have none and more!) At the moment the stalls there haven’t been announced, but we’ll post them here as soon as they do.

There’ll also be some other workshops with Mark Pavey helping people create a Brighton Zine Fest ‘09 t-shirt during the day.
