In the continuing slew of news we will no doubt be putting out about the new Propagandhi CD we thought people would be interested to know that they’ve put up two of the album tracks for download so long as you make a donation to the Sea Sheppard Conservation Society, Partners in Health or Peta2.

Brighton Zine Fest

Gaza solidarity demonstration photos

Yesterday – 10th January 2009 – on the Palestinian solidarity demonstration the crowd stopped outside the entrance to Kensington Palace Gardens on Bayswater Road at about 3pm. It seemed to be an attempt to get to the Israeli Embassy from behind – and where there was a very thin police presence. Below is a photo report of what happened.

Smash ITT videos

In the early hours of Saturday January 17th six protesters forced entry to the Brighton building of ITT/EDO MBM. Inside they caused extensive damage to the arms factory. Two videos of the event have been posted on the internet, showing the entry, and the aftermath.

“Greece on fire, where next?”; Occupied London & the Greek riots

Holiday jaunts and 2009

A very brief note to say that everyone at Last Hours is knocking off for Christmas. The only thing this really impacts is the mailorder. The shop will remain open, but no deliveries will be made till Monday January 5th. There’s a lot planned for 2009 when we all get back. We leave with this card that one of our friends in Greece emailed through.

LCAP ends 2008 at RBS

London Coalition Against Poverty, and sympathisers, occupied and disrupted the Royal Bank of Scotland yesterday. Dressed up as Santa Clauses, a group of people distracted the security guards while another group passed the security barrier and went upstairs to hand out flyers to RBS workers, including those on a trading floor.

Greece in flames and a London blockade

On the night of December 6th, police shot 15-year old Alexandros Grigoropoulos in cold blood in the Eksarhia district of Athens. Since that night, Athens and tens of other Greek cities have been burning. In London a demonstration was called for Monday, 8th December, to blockade the Greek Embassy.
