At least seven arrested at DSEi dinner

Between seven and 10 people have been arrested at the DSEi dinner protest this evening after the police imposed conditions on the protest, and ordered it behind metal cordons.

I found this on my desk after Tom Fiction left my flat. Genius! His present for my birthday was to get the Sssnakes song stuck in my head. They’ve got a split with the Bangers, who are also a mint band.

Disarm DSEi 2009 timeline

On September 8th 2009, protesters gathered in the City of London to demonstrate against the DSEi arms fair taking place in the Excel Centre in East London. Last Hours was using mobile updates to document the event.

BT building invaded as part of DSEi 09 week of protest

Neil Sutherland and Friends

‘one hundred faces’ is the second full band release from Neil Sutherland, and is part of a joint release, with the other CD ‘Two Whistles and a Hum’ that more closely resembles his first release, which was a split with PJ & Gaby.

Eyedea & Abilities

In 2007 MC Eyedea formed a rock band, Carbon Carousel, and relased “The Some of All Things or: The Healing Power of Scab Picking”, an album I hoped would combine Eyedea’s trademark lightning fast trought provoking raps with a backing track that more closely resmbled the majority of my music collection. Though, in reality, Carbon Carousel turned out to be a rather dissapointing musical outing. However, come summer 2009 I got the guitar driven album i’d been waiting for.
