Immortal Technique

October 22nd, 2008 · posted by Fred Goodsell · marked as: CD reviews · Reviews

Words cannot describe the impact Immortal Technique has had on the hip hop scene. He released his first album “Revolutionary Vol. 1” without a record label using money won from rap battles, selling 12,000 copies to date.  His ferocious political and social message have re-invigorated a genre that became stagnant under commercial control. Josh MacPhee

October 17th, 2008 · posted by Edd · marked as: Interviews

He established a novel distribution network called Justseeds back in 1998 with the intention of getting more radical art projects out to the public. Over the years it has grown and morphed and is currently an artists collective known as Justseeds Visual Resistance.

Immediate thoughts on the Shut ITT demonstration

October 16th, 2008 · posted by Edd · marked as: News · notes of resistance

Drizzle fell as about 350 people gathered outside Sussex university in Brighton. To begin with the mood was slightly confused, and dejected. The Forward Intelligence Teams (FIT) were removing scarfs, hats and some masks having instated a section 60 on the area. Scuffles broke out as…
